Today... I have only had time to listen to a few songs... too much work. So, I'm listening to my comfort album:
Azure is fucking awesome. They're easily my favorite modern prog band. Highly recommend checking out all of their music....if you like concept albums and stuff that tells a complete story, check out their album "Fym".

i've never gotten into black metal but wow I'm really liking Havukruunu!

EDIT: Forgot to post a song! tonight I'm listening to more prog, but this time it's old school:

Havukruunu are in that pagan/folk black category that just feels like the woods... It's my favorite genre of metal. I'm rarely in the mood for regular black metal, but this folky stuff is my comfort music.

Anyway, you've got be going through my tiny prog collection. I'm just too picky... Some of it sounds too nerdy for me, but some is nerdy in a good way, lol. Whenever the prog has a bit of atmosphere or mystery, it's awesome... when it just sounds like technicality it gets into the music for other musicians... or music school friends jamming category in my mind... and it's too nerdy for me. Anyway, here's my music tonight:

Gorillaz just posted a new album

It’s a vibe, gonna listen while I cruise and hopefully pass out.

lol that's actually very fair. Prog is my favorite genre and makes up a sizable amount of my collection, but I get where you're coming from. Some of it can be a little too much. I mostly love it, but there's some albums from bands I normally love that are just too much...Tales from Topographic Oceans by Yes comes to mind.

MORE PROG FOR THE PROG GOD. this one's folky. God I want another Storm Corrosion album

I had the Golden Sun soundtrack playing while I was working yesterday so I figured I'd share a song from that. The Venus Lighthouse theme is from the final dungeon from the first game and I always thought that this song really captures that. In the game you've finally caught up to the group that you've been trying to stop this whole time and to me this song really has heroic "we're about to save the world" feeling to it

Been on another WizardThrone kick lately. This video is...sure something, but the album as a whole is a really fun story. They also have Rainbowdragoneyes on drums, which is big mood.

Another run through Bal Sagoth is surely around the corner...
